ARGH MY HAIRS OUT OF PLACE!"...etc etc...however, i am the PICKIEST person when it comes to my own critique so i will push that to the side for now :) Thanks to Charlotte for sending me this video!

It's actually here...

The showcase is tonight! Can't believe it. I have spent a whole 8 months planning this and it's finally here. I've been joking with people that it's "my wedding day". So far it's actually felt like it! I've even kept my whole outfit a big fat secret, just like i would with a wedding dress! oh, and i had a cake made for me by a wonderful friend of mine Veronica Harnett and as i cut it and had my photo taken it all got a bit toooo much like a pre wedding dress rehearsal so i had to snap outta that pretty quick :p

I was frrrreeeeeaaking out before soundcheck this morning and then after that I seemed to completely chill! All the tech team were great and things went to plan in the soundcheck so i think that was what i need to calm me down. Now all i need to pray for is that i don't fall over, my top doesn't fall down and my mic doesn't cut out! WOO!

Here's the facebook group if you want any last minute details. they should all be there http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_192221417478073

I'm currently sat in bed trying to relax before i start into the mammoth task of HAIR AND MAKEUP...and doing a quick room tidy...got guests coming :)

So to all of you reading this who will be there tonight i'll see you there! And to those who can't make it, i'll see you another time!

Please take lots of pictures everyone, and videos if you can. That'd be proper awesome :)

Lots of love. xxx

The Brits

Was lucky enough to go to The Brits last night. It was amazing. Certainly very motivational! It made my drive to succeed in this so much stronger and I am gonna throw myself into every rehearsal for the next two months. I'm gonna be a (nice) diva and make sure every little detail is perfect and i'm gonna make your journey to Liverpool for the showcase worth it! Keep spreading the word, I wanna play to a full house! remember APRIL 4TH. xxx

No news is good news...

Sorry it's been a while! It means i'm busy though, which is good!

A productive start to the year: My man whisked me off to Paris for 4 days and when i got back I was straight back to the studio in London, and i've been here ever since! The week has involved writing new material and discussing the next stage for me as an artist. I brought my Cello this time too and put down a nice little Cello line on a song i wrote last time i was here:) We've been experimenting with slightly harder beats this time round, sometimes almost a drum n bass beat (but slightly slower). This mixed with my slightly sweet sounding voice and the genius string parts these guys keep coming up with is a good mix...I might put a link for a track up here soon as a thank you for reading the blog that will be completely LIMITED EDITION. how.exciting.

I will be back to Liverpool and "back to school" in one week so i'm desperately trying to finish off last bits of work here and there when i get spare moments. Whilst i'm here, my trusty production team "Jethro and Sam" are rehearsing the "laptop" parts of the Showcase. I've heard it's going very well and I can't wait to get back and add my vocals. I hope every rehearsal is like a mini rave...

Newrave
 They've got the right idea.

In terms of news about the Showcase there hasn't been a whole load of advancement since my last meeting with lighting and set design. But i plan to talk to both this week so if i have any pics or details i'll put them up.

Remember peeps. keep the 4th April free as a bee.

Love ya lots
